Did you know that the drive to succeed can make high achievers more prone to burnout and overwhelm?

The pressure to succeed, while maintaining an image of perfection and an image of 'I know what I am doing', becomes a trap that often leads ambitious leaders and professionals to feeling overwhelmed, lonely and isolated.

On paper, everything should be okay.

But it's not.

Behind closed doors many are struggling with:

Imposter syndrome

Poor work-life balance

Poor time management

Lack of healthy boundaries

Problems in their relationships

Physical and mental health problems

Many have been going on like this for years.

Some of them will come to the realisation that achieving success in a job/career does not automatically guarantee happiness, love and a balanced and healthy life.

But not until they crash and burn.

And possibly go through the same burnout cycle again and again.

Because sadly the mindset that leads you to burnout, will keep you stuck in the same loop.

Until you tackle the problem at the core.

To beat burnout:

You need to change how you think.

You need to acknowledge that change within you is necessary.

It's not the job, it's not the boss, it's not company.

(they may be contributing to it)

But it's all on you.

I am talking about perfectionism, people-pleasing, low-self esteem, lack of self-confidence, procrastination, workaholism, lack of self-discipline, etc.

By shifting your mindset and moving away from unhelpful habits and behaviours,

you can overcome burnout.

And finally be yourself again.

But sometimes your own mind will get in the way of your recovery.

In the early stages, your mind may even convince you that you don't need help.

And you'll repeat the burnout cycle again.

Work, Responsibilities, Stress, Eat, Sleep, Rinse, Repeat.

You're an ambitious and resilient person afterall.

But trying to overcome burnout on your own can be difficult.

And why partnering with a coach, is what can help you keep the focus on your health and wellbeing,

if you want to stay on the top of your game.
